Ἀλέξανδρος ὁ Μέγας (Alexander the Great) The Greek king of Macedon.


King Φίλιππος Β' ὁ Μακεδών { Philip II} father of Alexander the Great, ruled Macedonia from 359 to 336 BC. He was born in Pella, the capital of the ancient Macedonian kingdom, as the youngest son of king Amyntas III. The tombs of Φίλιππος Β' ὁ Μακεδών and  Αλέξανδρος Δ' της Μακεδoνίας   (father and son of Alexander the Great) which  are found with  gold jewelery and weapons in Pella are accessible. Visit the tombs in Pella.
